biography

Andrea was born in 1975 near Frankfurt/ Main where she grew up.

Starting with photography was more by accident than a plan. While waiting for admittance to communication design studies she did an internship at a catalogue photo studio.

This is when she fell in love with photography, abandoned any other plan and went to Hamburg in 1999. There she worked as a longterm assistant for Uwe Duettmann and Joachim Baldauf.

Since 2003 she runs her own business as a freelance photographer. She lives in Hamburg with her partner and their enchanting but indomitable two sons.
